Academics at a Glance
• Preparing Rosters for the School Year 2007-2008 Department chairpersons have begun to review the Course Catalog and students' performances for possible changes in next year's rosering. In a few months, parents will receive the 2007 Course Catalog, the course selection sheet form and the Home Report for their daughters' 2006 Terra Nova standardized test. All of these resources will be useful to make informed choices for next years selection of courses.
• SAT Preparations -In March, all Juniors had the opportunity to complete three hours of SAT training at Hallahan.
• Third quarter ends March 30, 2007 and the fourth quarter begins April 2, 2007
• Advanced Placement Classes - available in 4 disciplines; % enrolled in at least one AP course
• Honors Classes - available in all disciplines
• Diocesan Scholars Program
• Classroom without Walls: The cultural and historical resources of center city Philadelphia
• Writing Syllabus for all grade levels: Integrated departmental approach to writing
• Over 22.4% of students enrolled in higher level math and science classes
• Students conduct over 90 science experiments in their high school career
• College/Career Counseling begins in the 10th grade
• “Shape Your Future” program for 9th graders
• 90% of graduates go on to college; 4% to post-secondary training; 2% to military; 4% to the work force
• Art and Music majors offered
• Affiliation with the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts
• Internship/Work program offered through Business Dept
