National Honor Society (NHS)

 

The National Honor Society is guided by four purposes: to create enthusiasm for scholarship, to stimulate a desire to render service, to promote leadership and to develop character in the students of secondary schools. These purposes also translate into the criteria used for the membership selection in each chapter. Hallahan belongs to the Father George F. Friel chapter of the NHS. Candidates for must have a 92 or above cumulative average or 39 or above Quality Points Quotient.  They must complete the candidate form, write their essay and be interviewed by the NHS moderators
